If you are a tech start-up, here’s a funding opportunity

I saw this in the Atlanta Business Journal. Georgia Tech has partnered with an angel investment fund to both fund and educate a select group of entrepreneurs. You do NOT have to be based in Atlanta, Georgia or elsewhere in Georgia but you must be willing to relocate. You can apply for the opportunity from anywhere in the U.S. Read below for more info.

Georgia Tech, backed by Atlanta super angel investor Imlay Investments, will launch a venture aimed at attracting — and holding onto — tech entrepreneurial talent to the region.

The four-month “accelerator” program, held twice a year, would invest up to $25,000 in each of the 12 to 20 startups and help them develop into a “fundable” businesses, according to a source familiar with the plans.

The program, to be announced at the ATDC Startup Showcase today, hopes to lure promising technology, medical device and biotech startups to metro Atlanta.
